Nut Hill Productions was formed to help change the face of the "dumbed-down" fare we've all come to accept from prime-time network TV. We believe that television programming not only can intrigue, enlighten, and engage viewers; but it can crackle with creative tension, and dazzle with humor, wit, and humanity. We know what we like to watch, and what keeps us tuning in night after night, or week after week. We respond to stories with emotional relationships, and to long-form documentary television sparkling with originality--carefully crafted by creative thinkers with endless intellectual curiosity. We crave disparate genres such as highbrow comedy, drama with a worldly viewpoint, and shows fraught with fact, with opinion, with sarcasm, even with explorations of complex sexuality. We want it incisive, visually stimulating; but most of all, we want it smart!
Combining Education with Entertainment
It seems a waste of a good medium, to relegate the many audio/visual advantages of the television to that of a static squawk box. Why should individuals and families spend precious time numbed into a veritable brain-lock, as they idle away valuable "real life" staring at inane, violent, under-stimulating, and mindless programming?
